Clear aligners are custom-made plastic trays that fit around your teeth and are worn to move them into their proper place. Unlike braces, clear aligners do not have brackets or metal wires, and are hardly noticeable to the public eye. Typically, a series of aligners are worn and interchanged every 2 weeks to achieve desired results. Depending on the severity of the case, a treatment can vary from a several of weeks, to several months. Many people prefer to use clear aligners because they are easy to clean, are less noticeable, and don’t cause as much discomfort to gums and cheeks.

We recommend removing your clear aligners prior to eating or drinking anything other than clear unsugared liquids. Our clear aligners will not stain with coloured drinks; however, trapping coloured foods/drinks or sugar between clear aligners and your teeth may cause stains and/or cavities.

You will change steps for your clear aligners every 2 weeks. Prior to changing steps, you'll take a remote scan of your teeth, or upload your photos to ensure you are ready to move to the next set of clear aligners.

Your treatment time will be determined after your check-up with our orthodontist, and the majority complete their treatment in within 12 months.
